SOME FACTS:

YCDTOTV debuted in 1979 on local Ottawa channel CJOH-TV.

Green slime and sliming was introduced in '79, and was doused after the key phrase, "I don't know."

In 1981, new kids channel Nickelodeon, debuted a handful of half-hour episodes, a year later it was their highest-rated show.

Only 5 episodes aired in 1987, including one (Adoption) that was banned in the United States.

"Opinions on the 1989 and 1990 episodes of YCDTOTV are mixed among longtime fans of the show, particularly regarding the new episodes' increasing reliance on bathroom humour"
